Monthly Archives: August 2012

Next to the last Sunday in the United States

It’s hard to believe but in a few days, we will be on a jet heading to China.  August 31st is the deadline.  We have today and next Sunday to worship in a United States, English speaking church.  What we will do when we are in China, we will have to wait and see.

The packing is almost done.  The storage unit is half full.  We have our visas and plane tickets.  Monday will be my last day as an employee at Black River Imaging.  They have been so good to me for the past 17 years.

I really feel like Abraham in Genesis 12:1.  “Now the LORD said to Abram, ‘Go forth from your country, and from your relatives and from your father’s house, to the land which I will show you.'”

God promised Abraham a blessing in this passage.  I pray that He will bless us also and that His Name will be glorified in our activities.
